What is the purpose of Almighty Fodder Systems?
One of the major problems for primary producers is the lack of high protein feed for the live stock on the farm in times of drought.
The concept of producing high quality fodder as a feeding supplement addresses this issue. This concept is simple, instead of using cereal grains, such as barley as dry feed to sustain livestock, the same grain can be expanded and increase in protein, fibre and vitamins by simply germinating the seed and growing the “shoots” over a 8-10 day period. This germinated seed is then used for feed for the livestock.
If a farmer supplied grain to his animals in a dry form, ONE kilogram of the seed would supply a “x” amount of volume, protein and nutrition to the animal. If you take the same ONE kilogram and germinate the seed over a period of 8-10 days, the seed will sprout and produce 8-10 times the original volume and DOUBLE the protein and nutrient value. Meaning the ONE kilogram of seed will turn into 8-10 kilograms of fodder with twice the original feed value.
How the Fodder system works
How can a Almighty Fodder System save you money?
A Farmer buys an Almighty Fodder system to feed a small herd of 100 head of cattle in penned operation. Grain is $400 per ton and feeding at 8 kg per day it would cost $320 per day to grain feed the cattle.
The Almighty Fodder system would use 100 kg of seed to make 800 kg of fodder which is $40 per day to feed the cattle. This is a saving of $280 per day in feeding cost.
The Almighty Fodder system at $125,500.00* if divided by the $280 per day saving would pay for itself in 440 days or less than 15 months.
* Estimated purchase price
If A Farmer with a small holding decide to grow a small herd of cattle to give him some additional income he would have two choices Grain feed in a small feed lot or use Almighty Fodder as a source of nutrition for the cattle.
Lets have a look at the math's (prices are estimates):
Standard farming methods
100 head of weaned steers @ $300 per head $ 30,000.00
8 Kg of grain per day @ $400 per ton equals $320 per day
Average 400 days to bring up to finished weight of 420 kg steer $128,000.00
Cost to bring the cattle from calves to market size $158,000.00
Compared to the same cows on Almighty Fodder
100 head of weaned steers @ $300 per head 30,000.00
8 Kg of fodder per day (grain at $400 per ton) $ 40.00 per ton
Power usage per day $4.00 for Module
Average 400 days to bring up to finished weight of 420 kg steer $17,600.00
Cost to bring the cattle from calves to market size $ 47,600.00
The Cattle when ready would sell for approx $1000 per head which means the 100 would earn the farmer
$100,000.00 income less the cost of holding them.
If the cattle were Grain fed the farmer will lose $58,000.00 as compared to the Fodder farmer who would Make $52,400.00 profit.
